Hi,

I'm new to MS Flow and I keep getting this error in my condition "Not specified."

Here is the error:

Here is my condition:

Edit your flow Microsoft Flow - Google Chrome.jpg

equals(string(body('Analisar_Twitch_JSON')?['data']),variables('data')) equals to TRUE

So to give some context, the condition works when it is false but when it is true gives that error (not sure why :/)

what is body('Analisar_Twitch_JSON')?['data']) (is this an array?) can you share screenshot of output

also variables('data') - what type of variable is this? what is the value set?

yes it is an array

the variable data is a string, that is why i'm converting the json output to a string.

the ideia is that if the API returns this:

{
"data": [],
"pagination": {}
}

it runs the left side, if it returns the normal output runs the right side.

I also tried to use if empty(body('Analisar_Twitch_JSON')?['data'])) == true and i still get the same error and behaviour

Hi @Peralta

add a compose action after your Analisar_Twitch_JSON action
and try the following expression

length( body('Analisar_Twitch_JSON')?['data'])

and run flow and see value when response is empty

So when the API gives some info it works as normal

But when it outputs the empty data array the condition block still gives the same error
This is the output of the compose block

Hi @Peralta ,

It looks like Compose is an array, you could use length() to determine if the array is empty.

Just tried to use the expression that you had, still gives the same error (Not specified.)

PS: The error only happens when the statement is true

Hi everyone,

Tried some alternatives and I still get the same error. I think we encountered some sort of bug in the condition block (or I am terrible at making Flows )

Hi @Peralta ,

The method I recommend is based on the structure provided in the screenshots you provided.

I tested Condition on my side and didn't meet the error you mentioned.

Please try to re-create a similar Flow and do the testing.

I am getting the same error trying to run a simple condition. My flow is meant to UPDATE a SP lists' items from an Excel file ... or ... CREATE a new item if it doesn't exists. One side of my condition (the UPDATE) works fine, however, the CREATE side returns the 'Not specified' error. Personally, I'm with you, I think Flow isn't working correctly.

My flow:
Condition formula: not(empty(body('Get_items')?['value'])) --- is equal to --- true

I got mine to work using a Compose action between 'Get items' & my 'Condition'. See pic

The solution at the bottom of this link helped me fix my issues:
