I have set up an On Premise gateway into our on premise sql database. I keep running into road blocks on SQL tasks that cannot be run through an on premise gateway.
Does anyone know of a list of tasks that WILL WORK through a SQL on premise gateway or conversely a list of tasks that WILL NOT WORK through a SQL on premise gateway?

I am afraid that according to your description, I am not sure what the problem is currently.
If you are not properly creating a connection to Sql server, you could try the following test and see if you can use the Sql Server connector related features:
