Hi,

This is driving me crazy, I'm trying to get a single value from a sharepoint list using the following expression via Get Items

first(body('Get_items')?['Value'])?['Title']

The above works great for me, but I want the value not be a hard coded value but a value from another step/variable like so:

first(body('Get_items')?triggerBody()['text']

But I just cannot work out how to do it - heeelppppppppppp 🙂

This is not an example for an input coming from a Sharepoint list.

It is just a text input. So you can amend it as per your flow.

If the hard coded Expression is this

string(triggerBody()['text'])

and if I have a dynamic input variable called as varInput1 whose value is text

Then make the below change in blue in the Expression (not the dynamic content)

string(triggerBody()[variables('varInput1')])

When the flow runs, it automatically replaces the value of variable varInput1 (ie; text) and evaluates the corresponding output value for string(triggerBody()['text'])

The string() function is used in my example, you can use the one you already have ie; first()

Tried and found to be working.
