Patching a Submitted Sharepoint record

Hi,

Is this possible?

I have a Share Point List "customers", at some point I am creating a quote for a specific customer. I would like to add a note to a column for that customer once the quote was created. I was thinking like an action after the submit button but with a condition, because I don't want that the action creates and overwrite the same value after I add items to the same quote.

Make sense or is confused?

Thank in advance.

    So you would use UpdateIf something like:

    UpdateIf(Customers,ID = whatevervalueyouneed,{Comments:"Quote No: 123 created"})

    you can just put it after the patch formula for your quote update

    Thanks, and if the value that I want to update is a label value?

    UpdateIf(Customers,ID = Value(Label1.Text),{Comments:Label2.Text})

    only wrap in Value() if its a number field (showed you in this for the ID lookup and also the update)

    Sorry, let me try to explain this correctly:

    I have 3 Share Pint Lists 1. Customers 2.States 3. Quotes

    When I am creating the quotes I have the selected customer, and bring the State using a dropdown

    Dropdown "DropSelectState" = Distinct(States,State)

    In my share point I have a Column "StateQuoted"

    What I would like to do is: once I submit the quote to my SPL "Quotes" also patch my SPL "Customers" with the value selected in my "DropSelectState" but because down the road I can add more items to my quote I don't want that the function overwrites everytime my field "StateQuoted"

    Something like IfEmpty "StatedQuote" = patch

    Let me know please

    Regards

    If(IsBlank(LookUp(Customers, customerName="someone", StateQuoted)),
     Patch(Customers,
     customerName = "someone",
     {StateQuoted: DropSelectState.Selected}
     )
    )

    try this

    I have changed a little bit to match my fields so:

    If(IsBlank(LookUp(LIPCustomers, ID=Value(Label13.Text), StateQuoted)),
    Patch(LIPCustomers,
    ID = Value(Label13.Text),
    {StateQuoted: DropSelectState.Selected.Result}
    )
    )

    Where Label13 is the selected customer "CustomerID)

    the result:

    Invalid Argument Type

    my bad, the patch function takes a collection as its second argument, not a criterium

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/functions/function-patch

    If(IsBlank(LookUp(LIPCustomers, ID=Value(Label13.Text), StateQuoted)),
    Patch(LIPCustomers,
    First(Filter(LIPCustomers, ID = Value(Label13.Text))),
    {StateQuoted: DropSelectState.Selected.Result}
    )
    )
