Automatic e-mail containing the modified item of a gallery

Hello,

I would like to know if it's possible to send an automatic e-mail in Power Apps containing the item of a gallery which was modified.

I'm using the formula "Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2" in Power apps to send the automatic e-mails when I submit an item or edit it.

But, I would like to add the item in the gallery that was last modified. Is that possible?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi @julia123 ,

What you want is entirely possible. How to do it depends entirely on your app, so perhaps you can give a few more details on how items in the gallery are updated and at what stage in that process the mail notification should be sent out?

    Hi @BCBuizer

My data source is a SharePoint list. Through Power Apps, I've created a form and people can add requests in this form and it updates the SharePoint List automatically.

Also, I have another page, where I'm able to check the requests I've done, with a possibility to edit something.

So, in this edit page, I've added in OnSuccess, a "Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2" formula to automatically send an e-mail when hitting the "save" button, when saving a modification/change in this edit page.

This formula is working, but, what I wanted to add, is the exact item that was changed in the list.

The e-mail, when sent is exactly like this:

    Hello,
The project Project Test was updated in our Tool by: (editor's name)

    Please, click to review
    Edit Date:12/01/2022 12:27 PM.

And, what I want to add in the content of the e-mail is:

    Hello,
The project Project Test was updated in our Tool by: (editor's name)

    The field "XYZ" was updated

    Please, click to review
    Edit Date:12/01/2022 12:27 PM.

So, Power apps need to understand which column was changed and add this to the e-mail. I couldn't find this part of the formula until now.

    Hi @julia123 ,

The only way I found so far to get the changed fields in an updates item is done with Power Automate:

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/How-to-use-Get-changes-on-an-item-or-a-file-property-only-action/m-p/1300344/highlight/true#M147860

Perhaps you can use this, or parts of it, for what you want.
