Dynamic Content in File Identifier - How to

(1) ShareShare

I have created a flow that automatically sends an email when a file is saved in a SharePoint location and posts in a Teams channel. The "Send Email (V2)" action also attaches the file to the email and includes the file URL. The flow works correctly when I specify the file location in the "Get File Content" action. However, I need this to work dynamically.

Specifically, I save meeting minutes to this location, and the file names will be different each time, so specifying the name in the "Get File Content" action will not work. Does anyone have ideas on how I can achieve this dynamically? How do I get the "File Identifier" to accept dynamic content?

Can you try by passing the File identifier in the Get File content action ?

I hope you are passing the dynamic ID that is coming from the when a file is created in a folder action. Adding a screenshot for your reference. Sorry if this is what you are doing already from the screenshots you have given it seemed like you are selecting the file manually.

Do give this a thumbs up and mark this as a solution if this helps in any way.

    Thanks,

    Sanmesh

    Hi @SanmeshG,

I do not have the option, I have also tried to look up anything with identifier, result is below:

    Hi @SanmeshG,

Thank-you, that has worked but i think it has created another problem down the flow.
The next step of the flow is to send an email with the document attached. Again this was working before but now with the change in identifier the file is not woring. I receive an error saying the file cannot be opened. I am not sure if i am placing the correct expression in the fields highlighted below:
