Flows Triggered by Outlook Meetings: How to specify

Hello,

I am trying to create a flow that identifies any new meeting invitations (whether created by me or anyone else) and adds meeting (just for me) of 30 minutes directly after the triggering meeting.

I have figured it all out except that I cannot figure out how to only trigger the flow when it is a Meeting/Invite as opposed to an appointment.

I can't identify what field stores this (is it "Item"?) and what is the list of values that the field contains?

Thanks.

Peter

    Makes sense.  I don't see a 'type' field available.

    What about looking at "Required Attendees" and moving forward if it's not blank?  The idea being that only meetings would have attendees?

    Hello Ed,

    Thanks for the response. The issue is not trying to keep meetings from running long. The purpose is to make sure there is space between meetings and to allow me time to do follow up work from the meeting. (clean up notes, research, write upa . document, etc.)

    I don't want them created for appointments (meaning calendar events with no invitees) but only for meetings that I create and send out - or that I am invited to.

    Trying to figure out how to only trigger the event creation when it is a meeting with attendees/invitees. I am baffled. It seems that there should be a field that indicates what type of event it is - but i can't get any information on it. The rest of it has been fine.

    @PeterJGross

    Interesting one...Seems like a great way to keep meetings from running too long.

    Edit: I missed the "(whether created by me or anyone else)" part, but see below and let us know if that gets you close.

    What do you think about using the "When an event is created" trigger, then adding a condition to make sure you aren't the organizer (since you naturally won't let your own meetings run long, right?)?

    From there, you could use the "Add time" to tack 30 minutes onto the start time, and then "Create Event" action.

    Not sure where your comfort level is, so didn't go into too much detail.  Let me know if you want a deeper dive on anything.

    Keep us posted.
