When selecting my gallery from one SP Datasource, I would like to popualte some of the fields on the new form with the gallery selected information. This works for me with text based entries but I have a few dropdowns that are not working.
The TEXT i want from the gallery is to be shown as the default in the choices dropdown.
Is this possible?
Hi @jamescosten What is the item and default property of your dropdown? Also confirm whether it is dropdown or combo box. Also few screenshot will also help here.

Hi,
you can use in the DefaultSelectedItems Propertie for Choice Values: [{Value:"YourTextHere"}].
DropDown & Comboxes need this Schema.If the Column Name in the Field name (only ComboBox), so you must enter the Column Name like [{ColumnName:"YourTextHere"}]

Use DefaultSelectedItems property of combo box with below code:
{Value: ThisItem.ColumnName}
default should be kept blank.

@jamescosten You are using the combo box not dropdown.
this will not work.
DefaultSelectedItems expects a table value, so see my message [{Value: "YourTextHere"}].
@MLe92 DefaultSelectedItems expect table when multi select is true. If multi select is false, it will accept record.
