Separating Multiple Choice Data

Hi there!

Within my Microsoft form I have a question that allows people to pick more than one option.
Currently, there are 18 options. Generally, the survey takers will not pick more than 4 options.
Is there a way to separate the responses into 4 columns, regardless which 4 were selected?
I don't want to have a column for each of the 18 answer choices.
I also don't want more than one answer in each column.

To give a visual idea:

Person 1: A.B.C.D.
Person 2: B.C.E.F.
Person 3: A.D.F.G.

Output:
A B C D
B C E F
A D F G

Is this possible?

    Hi,

Sure can.  What you can do is initialize a string variable at the top of your flow and then add a condition and check if the length() of the question response is greater than 1.  If true, append the variable with the response.

There's probably a more efficient way but this will get the job done.  One condition for each question.

From there, what you can post in your Item is the output of your string variable which will contain all the answers that were answered.
