Composing an email in PA with Branched questions from Forms

hi all,

I have created a form for our users to log a service desk ticket. Made with the intention of telling the Level 1 team, where in the world the user is and if its a request or issue.

It is extensive and has a LOT of branching in order for us to try to drill down to what the issue/request is.

I want to set the email that gets sent to the service desk email address to only have the answers the user picked and need help in doing so. I've tried a few things but I know it would end up being massive then and I really don't believe it has to be.

for example, the user will pick the country, city and the building they are in before they get asked if its an issue or request

any help would be AMAZING! 🙂

thanks!

    Hi there,

This is going to depend on the amount that you have! There might be different ways to do it. For example, if it's major differences between Issue / Request / Etc, you might have three branches to start with, and then IF(..) within your different types.

However, typically, you'll just make a block of text with a bunch of expressions that use "IF()" in them. Ie, IF Q1 is not empty, then, show TEXT. If is empty, then BLANK. That kind of thing.

    Do you have some examples?

    I have LOADS...

    example branch:

    where are you based? Ireland

    - where in Ireland?

    - Dublin

    -what building in Dublin

    - Building 1

    -are you on shift?

    -yes

    - when did you start your shift? + when does your shift end? + Who can we contact when you are not onsite? (all 3 of these appear when you say yes to the above Q)

    - Do you have a request or issue?

    - etc etc...
