Each time a user want to lookup a value in the combo box they get below errors.
"You dont have permission to use this lookup. Server Response: The response is not in a JSON format."
Please help!
@Anonymous
Does the user have permissions to the List? They need to have at least read access. They need contribute and edit access if you are planning to write to that list in the app.
I hope this is helpful for you.
@RandyHayes How do i grant permission to user to have access the share point list in a way that they wont edit the items on the list.
Your video always help.
In that case...I wish I had a video for you on this 😁 Perhaps I need to put one together 😉
Your list (and site) will have three built in groups - Members, Owners and Visitors. The Visitor group has read only access. So, you can add everyone to the Visitor group.
This is all done in the List settings under the "Permissions for this list" setting.
Please do a video, I will check this step and revert as soon as possible.
All your videos are straight forward and well explanatory
Thanks for your quick response always.
Thank you for that feedback. It is more encouragement for me to try desperately to find the time to produce more, as it has been over a year now and I had a slew of videos on the production line that got sidetracked. It's just hard to find enough time to do everything!
@AnonymousHope you're doing good?
You can check this by
Click the settings icon below. SharePoint Site
This will take you to a set of options as shown in the image below:
It will take you to some options where;
Note: if you're not the owner of the site, just make sure you have the full control access from the admin.
Do well to let me know how it worked for you!
Cheers!!
@A-Roosevelt Keep in mind that what you are showing is for the entire site.
List permissions can be more specific to just the list.
Thanks @A-Roosevelt , I want the permission for the list and not the whole site,
@RandyHayes Thanks for bringing my attention to that, it's the same rules that applies, he need to contact the owner of the list to grant him full access.
@Anonymous Let me do an instruction for that
