Hi Community,

I have a Power Pages Site. My goal is manage the access to diferents pages/sections of my site with Entra ID Security Groups.

I have configured Entra ID like Identity Provider and I'm trying get users Group Claim (Configured previously in App Registration) from Power Pages, but unsuccessful.

Do you know any solution/workaround for my uses case?

Hi Juanse,

Group claims missing from token due to Not configured in app registration or Token too large (user in 200+ groups). or App registration not properly linked in site settings.

Create a custom plugin or Power Automate flow: When a user logs in → Parse their group claim → Match to a Web Role (create/update on Contact).

Is it possible to apply a transformation to convert group claims (array-based) into a string format? If this is not supported natively, would a custom plugin or Power Automate flow be the only viable options to achieve the required transformation?

Power Pages does not natively support using Entra ID security group claims for authorization.

The correct approach is to retrieve group or role information (via Graph API or App Roles) and map it to Power Pages Web Roles stored in Dataverse, which can

then control page and section access.

We attempted both groups and app roles, but both are returned as arrays, whereas Power Pages only supports string and Boolean types.
