Keeping Two option set blank once it is set

I have a two option set and I want it to be able to keep it as blank if I don't know if the answer is yes or no. But it seems like you can't set it to blank once you have set the value of the eligibility.

    Hi@summitb,

Could you please share a bit more about the scenario:

    1. what do you mean that “if I don't know if the answer is yes or no”?
    2. how do you know the answer?

Please give me the answer to the above questions.

I assume that every time you create a new record, you should select the answer from the two-option-set column, and you want to leave this column empty if you don't know the answer.

If my understanding is correct, I can tell you that the two options type field could not be assigned to a blank value. The two options will always have a default value, either "Yes" or "No".

If you would like this feature to be added to PowerApps, please submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:

To achieve your needs, you could consider creating an option set field. This operation will return a blank value if you do not have a selection from the option set field.

    Hope it could help.

    Best Regards,

    Qi

In my scenario, I was using the field to define if the client is eligible for something. So, let say client is eligible the value would be Yes, if client is not then No, But if we haven't checked the eligibility was thinking to put it as a blank. But I realize you can set is as blank even if the record is option.

I guess I'll just go with Option Set. @v-qiaqi-msft

    Hi@summitb,

Yes, as I mentioned before, the option set field will be better to achieve your needs.

I have a test and the situation is confirmed on my side.

The option set field supports you not to select an option. Further, it will not always have a default value even though you do not select an option from the field.

In a word, please use the option set field rather than the two options.
