Extracting Items from Multiple selection Lookup Column

(0) ShareShare

BACKGROUND:

I have a SharePoint List, and one of the Columns is a Lookup Column where multiple items can be selected.

PROBLEM:

I need to be able to lookup one record and extract all the items chosen in this column and then add them to a collection.

EXAMPLE:

Column Name is Area. Selected Items are London, South Wales, Cornwall.

I need a Collection of 3 items:

London

South Wales

Cornwall

I have searched everywhere for the answer including attempts of my own. Any help would be appreciated.

    @lewiscarr81 - see example below:

    ClearCollect(
     MyCollection,
     Split(
     Concat(
     LookUp(
     'Your SharePoint List',
     ID = 1,
     'Your Multi Choice Lookup Column'
     ),
     Value,
     ","
     ),
     ","
     )
    )

    @Amik thanks for your reply. I get an error that the Concat has issues.

    ClearCollect(
        MyCollection,
        Split(
            Concat(
                LookUp(
                    'Notification Profiles',
                    User.Email = User().Email,
                    Area //My SP Column Name
                ),
                Value,
                ","
            ),
            ","
        )
    )

    @lewiscarr81 - could you confirm your multi choice field is set to allow multiple values in SharePoint? (not just the app).

    @Amik You're correct it is the case in SP.

    @lewiscarr81 - adding @WarrenBelz who might notice something obvious.

    Thanks @Amik ,

    I am a little unclear on how these values are "selected", but if from a Combo Box allowing multiple selections, this should get all the records in the lookup up list matching the elected items.

    ClearCollect(
     MyCollection,
     ForAll(
     ComboBoxName.SelectedItems As _Data,
     LookUp(
     'Notification Profiles',
     Area = _Data.Value
     )
     )
    )
