I am trying to filter a data table using combo box. It works fine when I select an item from the combo box. However, when I search within the combo box to find the correct item and then select that, it always shows 'We didn't find any data to show at this time'.
Hi @Arunmenon ,
What is the Items property of the Data Table ?
Item property has Choices(Tablename.Fieldname)
@Arunmenon ,
I meant the Data Table, not the Combo Box
Oops My Bad!
Actually I have multiple combo boxes with which I am trying to filter the datatable and search bar as well. So the Item property of data table has all those conditions:
Search(Filter(Joineddata,(Len(Cmb_VP.Selected.Value) = 0 || VP in Cmb_VP.SelectedItems) &&(Len(Cmb_Director.Selected.Value) = 0 || Director in Cmb_Director.SelectedItems) &&(Len(Cmb_Manager.Selected.Value) = 0 || Manager in Cmb_Manager.SelectedItems) &&(Len('Cmb_GTC Director'.Selected.Value) = 0 || 'GTC Director' in 'Cmb_GTC Director'.SelectedItems) &&(Len(Cmb_GTCManager.Selected.Value) = 0 || 'GTC Manager' in Cmb_GTCManager.SelectedItems) &&(Len(Cmb_ReportingManager.Selected.Value) = 0 || Squad in Cmb_ReportingManager.SelectedItems) &&(Len(Cmb_status_1.Selected.Value) = 0 || 'Location - Seating' in Cmb_status_1.SelectedItems) &&(Len(Cmb_Project.Selected.Value) = 0 || Project in Cmb_Project.SelectedItems) &&'Planned Start' >= 'Planned start Date from'.SelectedDate && 'Planned Start' < 'Planned start Date To'.SelectedDate &&'Last Working Day' >= 'Last working Date from'.SelectedDate && 'Last Working Day' < 'Last working date to'.SelectedDate),search_text.Text, "Identified_x0020_GTC_x0020_Resou")
All the combo box has the same issue.
That is a lot of filtering - so firstly
Search( Filter( Joineddata, ( Len(Cmb_VP.Selected.Value) = 0 || VP in Cmb_VP.SelectedItems ) && ( Len(Cmb_Director.Selected.Value) = 0 || Director in Cmb_Director.SelectedItems ) && ( Len(Cmb_Manager.Selected.Value) = 0 || Manager in Cmb_Manager.SelectedItems ) && ( Len('Cmb_GTC Director'.Selected.Value) = 0 || 'GTC Director' in 'Cmb_GTC Director'.SelectedItems ) && ( Len(Cmb_GTCManager.Selected.Value) = 0 || 'GTC Manager' in Cmb_GTCManager.SelectedItems ) && ( Len(Cmb_ReportingManager.Selected.Value) = 0 || Squad in Cmb_ReportingManager.SelectedItems ) && ( Len(Cmb_status_1.Selected.Value) = 0 || 'Location - Seating' in Cmb_status_1.SelectedItems ) && ( Len(Cmb_Project.Selected.Value) = 0 || Project in Cmb_Project.SelectedItems ) && 'Planned Start' >= 'Planned start Date from'.SelectedDate && 'Planned Start' < 'Planned start Date To'.SelectedDate && 'Last Working Day' >= 'Last working Date from'.SelectedDate && 'Last Working Day' < 'Last working date to'.SelectedDate ), search_text.Text, "Identified_x0020_GTC_x0020_Resou" )
Hi @WarrenBelz ,
OK - if Joineddata is a collection, then the rest I asked does not matter. Does this happen on all combo boxes or just one ?
This happens on All the combo boxes.
Within the Combo Box, I am able to search and get the required item, but when I select that item, the data table becomes empty.
However, if I scroll through the combo box items and select the required one, data table is populated with relevant data.
Are you actually selecting the item after searching or simply leaving the text there ? If you are selecting there is no reason a Combo Box will not do what you need.
