Hi,

this is more of an observation for the MS team. I am using the new group option (which is on by default) and it is casuing problems I do not think you anticipated.

I have many datacards on my form and I use the old group option to only group a couple of items in the datacard s othat the datacard will always be visible(no border for mine). Then I can make the group not visible so that the other datacards do not move into the position of the "invisible" datacard (DC is still visible but there is nothing to see to the user).

The problem is that with the new group option it becomes the parent and it has no default , length , tooltip etc. options. Therefore it throws errors and I need to manually change the textbox etc. in the group manually to use the real parents name instead of Parent.

The new group should have all htese options and by default be set to Parent also so it all flows through nicely.

So I got around this issue but it was a manual process and I had to work it out myself since you turned on the new grouping by default without my knowledge.

Thanks for your feedback, I have made a test and the issue is confirmed on my side.

Currently, the Parent, length, tooltop etc options are not supported within the new Group option in PowerApps currently. If you would like this feature to be added in PowerApps, please submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:
