Patch entire Form with Attachment to SP how?

Hi 

 

I have a form with attachment - how to patch the entire form with attachment into SP list?  Is it in default - Patch(list, default list, form1)? 

 

I don't want to use submit as I have a datacard that the user need to input with the patched record to be submit for approval with workflow.

 

I think Patch will be the answer for first submit to SP , right?  Thanks

    Hi @bbsin ,

    An attachment cannot be Patched from a control to SharePoint - you either use SubmitForm() or possibly quite complex JSON conversion then a Flow.

    @bbsin ,

    Seriously, why do you want to do this? I would not consider attempting it (and never have) when you can simply put a Form on the screen (you can have only one field - the Attachment Control), then (if you must) do the Patch on the OnSuccess of the Form using Self.LastSubmit.ID as the target item.

    Please try this formula:

    Patch(SPList,Defaults(SPList),Form1.Updates)

    @bbsin ,

    @v-bofeng-msft is correct here - I do not use the function, so forgot about the additional feature on attachments.
