Start flow on checkbox and stop flow when checkbox updated

I have a document library - when a user has read the document they check a box and the details of the document, who read and when is added to a list. The tigger is when a library item is updated or modified. I added an Update Item after this to change the checkbox value to No, but the same items keep getting added to the list. I need the flow to run once when the item is checked. Hope I have explained the issue correctly. Thanks for any help.

    @Bonniedog2 ,

    For a more user-friendly approach, consider implementing a manual acknowledgment flow directly within your SharePoint list. Users can click a designated button to confirm that they have read the document. This not only provides a clear record of acknowledgment but also allows for seamless integration with Power Automate.

    1) Add a button or a trigger in your SharePoint list item to manually trigger the acknowledgment flow. This button can be labeled as "Acknowledge" or something similar.

    2) In your Power Automate flow, include a step to check if the acknowledgment has already been recorded in your SharePoint list. You can query the list to verify if the acknowledgment field is marked.

    3) Introduce conditional logic in your flow to determine whether the acknowledgment is recorded. If it's already acknowledged, the flow can be skipped, preventing unnecessary processing.
