Setting the length of a number

Hi,

I am having an issue here. So we have a field being submitted with a very specific ID that needs to be 8 characters in length and is a number. It starts at 00000001 and continues upwards and needs to remain at 8 characters. Can this be achieved? anything i try trims the Zeros off the field that i am incrementing.

    What is your data source? As I don't what is the specific ID that you are referring to, it's hard to answer if this could be achieved.
