Looking for tips with AI-powered(or maybe not) email data extraction and database integration in Power Automate.

  1. Monitor an email account or mailbox for incoming emails using Power Automate.
  2. Extract essential data from the email body, ideally utilizing AI techniques to parse templates and recognize field values.
  3. Store the extracted data in a database  for easy access and analysis.

Finally, I would like to review and visualize the stored data within Microsoft Teams, potentially through a simple dashboard or visualization tool, but for this think I will just use POWER BI.

Thanks to whoever read this and hope you have a good day 😉

I mean yes, that's all doable, but "AI techniques to parse templates and recognize field values." - that's sounding like form processing to me. Check this out:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/ai-builder/form-processing-model-overview

It will tell you step by step how to build a model that you can use. The thing about AI is that you have to train it to suit your need - it wont just go - so for every template you might have, you want to find ~10-50 (i think they say 15, but I lean to more - the more examples, the more accurate) - feed it to the model - and then tag it appropriately so it can learn.

I think the cost is about $500 USD per month for 1 unit of AI. Here's a calculator:  https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-ca/ai-builder-calculator/

Hi, thanks a lot for the response!

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/ai-builder/prebuilt-azure-openai
I saw a video regarding this functionality, which unfortunately I don't see in the actual app. Could this substitute the 500$ per month solution (for me it would not be sustainable 🙂 ).

Also, I don't need to use AI at all cost, it was more of an extra I would have liked.
The table from where I get the data isis an embedded HTML table and since Power Automate has support for reading XML so it should be possible to get the values out of the Table using XML and XPath to extract what I need. But I don't know how to actually realize it...

You know any place where I could find related infos?

    Thanks again 😉

Very comrehensive list , and if you need to extract new email leads that come back as out of office replies, when running an email campaign i.e. This website does it for free for upto few 100 emails. https://haileads.com/
