Hi all

I am trying to use a search function on a gallery using a .DisplayName label, i have found out you can't use a TextInput to search using the .DisplayName.

What i would like to do now is in the form where the employee finds there name i would like to have a hidden datacard collect that name as text, i can then use this to search on.

as you can see in the image above i have the person picker, and then i would like that to be mimicked in the employee Name Text Field for me to use in the gallery to search.

I hope that explains it, any help will be much appreciated.

Hi @JEVANSAP ,

You could add a combo box and set it's Items property to

Choices(SPListName.'Employee Name')

And then set the Employee Name DataCard's Update property to

ComboBoxName.Selected.DisplayName

Hi Thank you for your reply

Unfortunately this didn't work as i need the secondary box to go into the SP list so i can use this to filter a gallery as i can't filter the gallery from a person picker field.

please ignore my next comment i completely missed where i was suppose to put these formulas, it does work.
