Is it possible to use the automatic logon feature in Power Automate for Desktop Attendant RPA for unattended execution?

Is it possible to use the automatic logon feature in Power Automate for Desktop Attendant RPA for unattended execution?

 

We are using Windows Server 2019.
We have a per-user license Attended RPA per-user plan subscription.


The automatic logon is done by registering the password and associated information in the registry.

When you start the server, you are automatically logged in and
The system could be executed using triggers such as scheduled execution from Power Automate (web).
What are the disadvantages of unattended RPA compared to unattended RPA?
We would appreciate it if you could tell us the advantages of unattended type.

    As for unattended run advantage:

    - you are fully automating the flow without the need for the user to sign in to the machine.

    - security, having a server that signs in automatically would be seen as highly insecure as any person with access to the console has access to the server and all applications run during the attended run

     

    so in short, the unattended mode allows end-to-end automation, and the attended mode is rather directed to flows that interact with the user (ask for input, etc). But if you want to save on the extra paid addon, and have no concerns with having your server unlocked and accessible to anyone with access to the console - attended will do the work.
