Power Automate Desktop Disables Analysis for Office Excel Addin

When opening an Excel workbook that uses the Analysis for Office addin, periodically the A4O addin will get disabled. I've tried using the Launch Excel function with the Load Add-Ins and Macros setting turned on as well as using the Run Application function to launch Excel and then open the A4O workbook. Both of these scenarios have the same result where sometimes the addin is available and other times it gets disabled. Any thoguhts as to why A4O would be disabled when opening an Excel workbook via Power Automate Desktop?

I had two issues related to this. First, I had to go to the registry editor and enable the add in to start on load (each time I opened Excel, it was again inactive): HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\Excel\Addins\ [ YOUR ADD-IN ]\LoadBehavior  and set that REG_DWORD to a 3.

Then, I noticed that there is an apparent bug in PAD launch Excel, because even if I enable the advanced slider to "Load add-ins and macros", it does not. So, the solution for now is to "Run Application" to get Excel running and then "Attach to running Excel" to get a handle to that workbook.

    Hope it helps.

Thanks kelway. It looks like my registry was already set to 3. Going the route of launching the excel app and then attach to running excel seems to be working. I appreciate the help.
