Get parents from Sharepoint list

Good morning, everybody Smiley Happy,

I have a list and a library.
My library contains the parents and my list contains the children.
Each parent can have several children, so I try to fill in a "parents" column in my list.

Here is the real example :

My flow :

Condition:

@contains(body('Get_file_2_properties')?['Action']?['Value'], items('foreach')?['Title'])

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @BenjaminSTRIEBI,

Which date type is the ElementOfList column in your SharePoint library?

Could you please show a bit more about Action Value within your Condition box?

Further, have you tested your flow in Microsoft Flow already?

I don’t think your flow could achieve your needs, the “Update item” action would overwrite previous value in Parents column of your SharePoint list. I have created a SharePoint Library and a SharePoint list on my side:10.JPGNote: ElementOfList column is a Multiple line of text type.12.JPG

Note: Parents column is a Multiple line of text type.

I have made a test on my side and the flow works well. My flow’s configuration as below:7.JPG

Note: Within Parents field, we should type dynamic Name content of “Get file properties” action and type dynamic Parents content of “Get items” action in next line (Maybe this item has a parent item in Parents field already, avoid updating previous parent item ).

The flow works successfully as below:9.JPG

    Best regards,

    Kris

    Hi @v-xida-msft,

Thanks for your help ! Smiley Happy

I use the "Look Up" type for "ElementOfList" column.

Your example works but has bugs. For me at least.

For example: if I use the SharePoint tool "Quick modification" the flow only takes into account the last line of modification:

    Best regards,

    Ben
