How to get powerapps to show the 'Created by' column of a sharepoint list?

I am trying to insert a modern text box control onto a form and link it to the 'Created by' column of my sharepoint list however I get an error message (see screenshot below)

All my other textboxes work as they are retrieving data from custom text columns however this 'Created by' column is unusable.

Any ideas?

THanks

    Hello @Grantx

It looks like your trying to use a Data Type: Record on a textbox.

You need to narrow it down to till you get the Data Type: Text to exactly show the value in the text box.

Hi, thanks for the reply, how exactly do I do that? Get the text value of that record?

    Thanks.

    @Grantx

We need to know whats behind the record.
I did some digging and it would look like this:

    ThisItem.'Created By'.DisplayName

    Hi @Grantx

'Created By' returns several potential values:

You can add "." to the end to see the viable options.  Most likely you are looking for this one

    ThisItem.'Created By'.DisplayName

    ThisItem.'Created By'.DisplayName

You are all awesome.  Have a great day.

Can you provide more information regarding where your text box is?  Is it in a form, a gallery?

I have the text box in a Form. the text box pulls the field from the SharePoint field.

I am having issues with this as well.

If I try to use ThisItem."Created By'.DisplayName in the Default field, I get an error that says "Expected Record Value".

If I try to use ThisItem.'Created By' the field just shows as blank, even when editing or viewing existing items.  Strangely this works fine in another form I have.
