Create an HTML tbl from Forms Response to Insert into Email

Hello,

I am a very green new user to power automate.  I have developed a form to collect report requests.  There are 15 questions on the form.  When a response is received, I would like an email sent to the respondent containing a summary of their request in the form of a table like this:

Requestor[Forms Response]
Data Requested[Forms Response]
Due Date[Forms Response]

Here is the flow:

This is the append array step:

But the email looks like this:

SCastille_1-1712845869328.png

The data is not in a formatted table (borders, etc.)  And the columns & rows need to be transposed as demonstrated above.   I have spent days trying to find a solution.  Any response is appreciated although please keep in mind, I am very new to this and will require a lot of detail.  Thank you in advance.

Take a look at this blog post as I believe it will provide you with a solution.

Thank you.  That answers the first question regarding how to format the table and I will work with that and see if I can get it to work.

But, how do I transpose the rows and columns? I don't want 15 columns (number of questions in the form) going across the page of the email.

I think you are better off not using the Create an HTML table action.  You won't need to create an array either.

In the Send an email action, you can enter HTML in the message body.  To do so, you need to click on the Code view button on the menu bar above the message body in the action.  I suggest entering any text that you want in the email (other than the table) before going into code view.

Then, enter the HTML code for the table (easy).  You can still reference values from Dynamic properties in the code.

Thank you. I was beginning to suspect I may have to resort to the email editor.  Would it be a good idea to use the email editor, then copy what it generates into a string variable to be passed to the email body to replace the original content of the editor?  Asking because it seems the editor messes with formatting each time you open it.

I'm glad it works for you!  I can't answer your question about formatting but it can't hurt to give it a try.
