Error on Apply to Each and Filter Array That References [body/value] output from a previous step

Hello Gurus,

I am having an issue that I have racked my brains trying to figure out. I have built a flow that

1. Identifies "List Rows present in a table"

2. Then applies the "Filter Array"

3. Then "Apply to Each" item

4. Finally "Update a row"

The Apply to each step is throwing me an error because it does not like the 'outputs('Filter_array')['body/value']'  reference from associated with the List rows present in a table item. It also doesn't like if I chose "Body" List of Items from the filter array step.

Below is an example from a practice flow that I followed from Anders Jensen YouTube page, and I'm still getting the same results as I do with my project.

Here are the options available in the Apply to Each step after the filter array. It doesn't matter whether I select the "Body" from Filter array, or "Body/Value" from List Rows Present In a Table... I still get the template error. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Here's the flow

@OPTU_TechLover I would recommend using the Classic Designer (toggle off the New Designer). The New Designer is still buggy. If that doesn't work, you may need to recreate your flow—toggle off the New Designer first BEFORE you make any edits to your flow.

Give that a try. If you are still running into errors with the Classic Designer please upload a screenshot of your flow in edit mode with all actions expanded (in the Classic Designer).

In the meantime, you may find this YT Tutorial helpful: Are you using the Microsoft Power Automate Filter Array Action wrong?

In this video tutorial I’ll show you 3 practical ways to use the Filter Array action and how to use it properly.

    1️⃣ Cross-Referencing Data

    2️⃣ Filtering by Key

    3️⃣ Substring Matching

Did you know that the Condition action has a limit of 10 conditions? Although it might look like the Filter Array action can only accept one condition—this is not true. By using the advanced mode you can enter multiple conditions into a Filter Array action with an expression.

    IN THIS VIDEO:

3 Ways to Use the Filter Array Action

How to use the Scope Action to Group Actions

How to Check the Number of Items returned from a Filter Array Action

How to Filter Items by a Key

    Hope this helps!

    Hi,

I assume your filter array output is empty in the case ‘outputs('Filter_array')['body/value']’ fails. Can you check on this and then add a condition to check the length of the filter array body before proceeding with the next steps?

Maybe you can try using the 'Initialize variable' actions to store the value first.
