Clarification on access

Hi, new to powerapps. I have created a small app for my organization. its linked to a list on My sharepoint. currently everyone can see the app, but there are functions such as putting names is, and drop downs that are not working for them. in Powerapps it says everyone I share the app with needs to have access to the database, I know something are implictly shared with the app, but what else do I need to do. I have not officially shared my list in sharepoint with anyone, kinda defeats the point. but If I have to, can someone clarifiy the access instructions. On my sharepoint list, I have options for "view only", or view and edit. which option do I require for my app to work.

Hi @DMacCready ,
Yes, you need to share the list access with the users. Basically, your SharePoint list is the source and without having access to the source, you can not get, edit or delete data.

thank you, this helps for the most part. definitely points me in the right direction. I still change the permission in the sharepoint without emailing everyone. I think the problem is I am working on the web version of sharepoint and not the app.
