Power App unknown Error occured

Hi all,

 

I have a Power App connected to an Azure SQL Database. The app works fine in the browser on a laptop, but when one of my users tries to use it on her smartphone, the app opens but shows the error: "An unknown error occurred."

 

Some details:

 

  • The user has a stable internet connection on her phone. The app works on her laptop with the same user.

  • She is not using any VPN.

  • Other users do not experience this issue

Has anyone encountered a similar issue, and could it be related to mobile authentication, connection permissions, or Power Platform security roles? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Couple of thoughts
     
    1. its possible the app has not refreshed. Make sure when she opens the Power Apps (wrapper app), that she is actually getting the refreshed version of the App. The only real way to do this is to have something in the UI to make sure she can tell something changed (a version, or a button label or something)
     
    2. What type of phone iPhone or Android as Android has the most issues.
     
    As for not using VPN have you looked directly? Like for me.. my Norton AntiVirus constantly tries to turn off and I had to disable it.
     
    3. Is she using wifi? or is she using just Data on her phone? Have her try both after ensuring the app is refreshed.

    Hi. I checked myself and within the wifi she can use the loads correctly. If she uses it with her Data from the phone it does not work.

    There are only a couple of things that would block it
     
    1. uninstall the Power Apps app, then re-install it, then launch that and then launch the app
    2. The device is somehow not in the Tenant for some reason depending on how you use Intune/Purview
    3. The app is cached and not updating, so doing #1 should resolve it.
     
    otherwise its #2
