Hi All,

I have a customer self service portal which for now I just want my internal users to access as it will expire in a few weeks I was trying to convert it to Production.

As per the Microsoft's Document [https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/portals/admin/portal-lifecycle].

to convert a portal to production you require a License for internal users[I have D365 Customer Engagement License] still i am not able to convert my porta to production even in Production Environment.

    Hi @ViditGholam

If you have proper licensing then check the following criteria.

    1. You have to convert your environment to production.

    2. Log in to https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/

    3. Choose your environment > From the ribbon choose "Convert to production"

Note:  You need to have 1GB of available dataverse capacity.

Then you are good to go.

    Hope it helps.

Hi @ragavanrajan , I have a Portal in a Production environment I am still not able to Convert it to Production

I have 2 Portals 1 in sandbox second in Production.

(Sandbox) - Sandbox one I am not able to convert to Production now after 25th October I understand that Microsoft recommends to not use the convert a portal to production in a Sandbox environment.

(Production) - when I try to convert a portal in production environment it still doesn't let me do that all it says is "You don't have a valid license". (I have a D365 Customer Engagement Plan).

Thanks for this. It is interesting.

As you mentioned, Converting the Sandbox environment Portal to production is not possible.  But the production environment should allow you to convert. The only other thing which I can think of is proper permissions. You must be assigned any of the roles for the environment.

    • Global administrator
    • System administrator

    Can you confirm?
    Hope it helps.

    Hi @ragavanrajan,

Yep I am a Global Administrator, Also It was possible to Convert a Portal to Production in Sandbox Environment till 25th October 2021. Microsoft just recommends not to convert it in any trail or Sandbox environment as deleting the trail might delete the Portal as well the licensed assigned with it.

But in any Production Environment I should be able to Convert any portal to production, I guess I should just raise a support ticket for this.

Can you just put some light on internal users login and how to track those logins, will my internal users login view the Azure AD ?? how portal differentiates between internal and external users, based on their domain name ?

Thanks for confirming @ViditGholam you are a Global Admin. Please go ahead and raise a support ticket. Something might have changed.

For internal users query I will respond to your other thread as it will cause confusion for other users.  Thanks for your understanding
