Community Portal Blog - How do you create good looking blog posts with the built in editor?

Hey,

We have implemented the blog functionality in our customer self-service portal.

But as I started to work with the new "tool" I figured out that it is very complicated and not intuitive to create a blogpost with images.

The images must be either links or webfiles and the editor (front and backend) are difficult to work with.

How do you create good looking blogposts with images in your Portals? Is it possible to embedd another editor to create these post or best practices how to work with images in the blog?

Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?

Do you want to embed another Editor within the Portal to edit the Images?

Currently, within PowerApps Portal, if you want to reference a Image resource, you could reference it through the added Web Files or external URL. There is no direct editor supported in PowerApps Portal to edit the image resource directly.

If you want to embed another Editor within the Portal to edit the Images, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in PowerApps currently.

yes, sorry, if is wasn't clear in the first place.

The experience we have at the moment, if we want to create a blogpost with the front-end editor is a bit poor.
The fields are way to small and if you want to access the html version of the visible content is again smaller.

So to create a blogpost with this is way to complicated and not intuitive. I wanted to know, how you guys create blogposts (did you develop a powerapp for this, do you use a local editor and a flow to implement it to dynamics?), because I don't think that the existing dynamics blogs are using this way to create their posts 🙂

Thanks for the information, that the integration of another editor will not work!

Yeah, you are right. Actually, these PowerApps Portals are designed using C# code (Maybe ASP.NET MVC), but currently, there is no official doc mentioned about how to design a PowerApps Portal and deploy it to PowerApps Environment.

If you want to design your Portal using extra tool (e.g. Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, ...etc), and then deploy it to your PowerApps Environment, I afraid there is no way to achieve your needs currently.
