Migrating Power Apps Portal to Different environment

Hi Experts,

I m trying to migrate the Power Apps Portal to a different environment. I have used the Portal Records Mover Tool from XrmToolBox for migrating. I was only able to migrate some customization like web pages, entity list and some others. But I found that in the new environment the entities, entity records, workflow and processes are not migrated. Could anyone suggest how to migrate the entire Portal to a new environment?

Thanks in advance..

    Hi @Anonymous

Portal Records Mover Tool from XrmToolBox is migrate only Portal components(entities, records, etc).

But if your concern is to move entities, entity records, workflow and processes from Dynamics 365 one instance to another instance:

You have to create a solution in Dynamics 365 and add all your component(entities, entity records, workflow and processes - except portal components) into that solution. Then export that solution from "Source Environment" and import solution in "Target Environment".

    Hello @Anonymous ,

Have you tried using the Configuration Migration Tool. This is the supported way to migrate portal customization.

The Configuration Migration tool uses schema to export and import configuration data. The tool does not migrate entities or entity schema.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/portals/admin/migrate-portal-configuration#:~:text=The%20Configuration%20Migration%20tool%20uses,has%20mismatch%20with%20selected%20schema.

To further Migrate processes and workflow, you may need to create a new solution from D365 source org.

Mark as solution if this helps you!

    Cheers,

    Pranjali
